Former FIC CEO remanded four days - Nation


PUTRAJAYA: Former Felda Investment Corp (FIC) CEO Zaid Abdul Jalil has been remanded to assist in investigations into the company's purchase of a high-end property in London. Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman allowed for Zaid to be remanded for four days beginning Tuesday. Zaid was arrested at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters on Monday after he was questioned for close to 12 hours. Last week, two former key officials of a valuation firm were arrested in connection with the London property probe. The London hotel, comprising 62 units of guest rooms and two units of three-bedroom serviced apartments, was also said to be overpaid by at least £20mil (RM112mil).
