Idahosa said that his greatest regret is stopping Obaseki from resigning in 2020 after he was frustrated out of the APC in his bid to seek reelection on the party’s platform. Speaking to newsmen shortly after defecting to the APC at his residence in Benin City, with leaders of the party in attendance, including the Edo APC Secretary, Lawrence Okah, former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dr. Pius Odubu, a chieftain of APC in Edo South Senatorial District, Washington Osifo, and member representingOrhiomwon/Uhunmwonde Federal Constituency, Billy Osawaru, among others, Idahosa said that his return to the party is a homecoming.
