more-inA city court on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of former Enforcement Directorate official Manoj Kumar and sent him to police custody till May 12. He was taken off the investigation after a video footage surfaced showing him with Rose Valley chairman and managing director Gautam Kundu’s wife Subhra Kundu. Earlier on Wednesday, the court refused to grant bail to Mr. Kumar when he surrendered before the court. A case was initiated against Mr. Kumar on the basis of allegations from Kamal Somani, a chartered accountant. Mr. Hirawat, Mr. Somani has alleged, was an agent of Mr. Kumar.
