Former Leeds United junior and Chelsea reserves left-back Ben Gordon is the latest to decide to stay with Craig Rouse’s side for the 2021-22 season. He joined Scott Smith and Jack Lazenby in committing his immediate future to the ambitious Colls club after initially signing when Andy Monkhouse was manager. Gordon began his career in the Leeds United academy before moving to Chelsea in 2007. After leaving Stamford Bridge, he played 50 games in the Football League with Colchester United and on loan at Yeovil Town, Peterborough United, Tranmere Rovers and Birmingham City. Since dropping into non-league Gordon has played for Chester, Bradford (Park Avenue), Woking, Boston United, Shaw Lane, Gainsborough Trinity and Matlock Town.
