Former Cathay Pacific flight attendant acquitted of blocking cops

A former Cathay Pacific flight attendant accused of using his car to block a police water cannon truck amid citywide strikes in November was acquitted of obstructing the police by a Fanling court today. Kenny Ng Tsz-kin, 32, previously pleaded not guilty to willfully obstructing officers in executing their duties. On November 12, Ng stopped his car horizontally in between two lanes on Chong San Road in Tai Po, obstructing a police vehicle. Ng also said he had worked for nine years at Cathay Pacific and knew any employees caught protesting would be fired. Ng was fired by Cathay Pacific because of the case and said he had sold his car to afford his attorney's fees.
