Upon the request of the case’s investigation officer, she voluntarily agreed to give a confessional statement in court, which was formally recorded by Metropolitan Magistrate Ismail Hossain. They were produced before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court the next day, Feb 2. The investigation officer requested that they be remanded in jail until completion of the investigation. For a thorough investigation of the case, the investigation officer later sought a seven-day remand. The court scheduled the remand hearing on Feb 10, and Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain approved the seven-day remand after the hearing.
