Former Bell Pottinger CEO says firm was brought down by 'orchestrated campaign'

The former CEO of disgraced UK public relations firm Bell Pottinger says he will fight to preserve his "good name" at an upcoming director disqualification hearing in the UK. James Henderson resigned from Bell Pottinger in early September 2017 after its clients deserted it and the PR firm was expelled from the UK's main public relations industry body for work it did for the Gupta family. This came in the wake of revelations in the #GuptaLeaks about the PR firm's work for the Gupta family and former president Jacob Zuma's son, Duduzane. The UK's Public Relations and Communications Association found that its work for the Gupta family was "by any reasonable standard of judgement likely to inflame racial discord in South Africa and appears to have done exactly that".
