Former Bank of England governor Mark CarneyFormer Bank of England governor Mark Carney has been named chairman of a new board of directors at US financial information and media firm Bloomberg. Bloomberg's head of product Vlad Kliatchko was also appointed as chief executive officer in the major shakeup of the company's management. Before that he was the governor of his home country's central bank, the Bank of Canada. Mr Bloomberg, who was the mayor of New York City from 2002 to 2013, founded Bloomberg LP in 1981. Mr Bloomberg stood as a candidate for the 2020 Democratic nomination for US president before dropping out of the race after three months.
