SMITHERS, B.C. — A man who became British Columbia's youngest elected mayor has pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual assault involving four boys who were under the age of 16. Luke Strimbold, who became mayor of Burns Lake in 2011 at age 21, entered the pleas at B.C. An indictment shows the assaults he pleaded guilty to occurred between May 2014 and August 2017. "He wants these boys not to feel guilty about what happened, and for them to know it's not their fault," Tessmer said.
