more-inA 51-year-old ex-serviceman reportedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence in Maharaja Gunj of Doodh Bowli on Thursday. Kamatipura police said the deceased was identified as B. Venugopal, an ex-serviceman, who had retired from the technical wing of the Indian Army in 2002. “He ended his life as he was depressed over his wife’s ill health,” said Kamatipura SI Gopikiran Reddy. After his retirement, the ex-serviceman had worked as a security guard and Special Police Officer in South Zone. A suicide note written on a newspaper was recovered in which Venugopal stated that nobody was responsible for his death.
