A bar with beer on tap, a large flat-screen TV, a few comfy bar stools, a dart board, and some tri-folding windows to create an indoor/outdoor flow — what more could a bloke want in a man cave? Former All Black Stephen Donald reckons not much, and he should know. Donald has designed what is his ideal "basic and blokey" man cave, and Placemakers, Cooke Howlison and Otago Polytechnic pre-trade carpentry course teachers and students have put in the supplies, transport and hard labour to make it a reality. "You’ve got two iconic New Zealanders who have created two very different designs, so whether you’re looking for a man cave or a she shed, you won’t find anything better." The show was being run in a partnership between Dunedin Venues and the Otago Daily Times.
