CALGARY — A man who once ran for the Alberta Party has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to internet luring and sexually touching a teenage girl. Terrence Lo, who is 48, entered the plea Wednesday in a Calgary courtroom to charges of communicating with a person under the age of 16 for the purpose of touching and sexually touching a person under the age of 16. The judge accepted the plea and sentenced him to two-and-a-half years with conditions. Lo was arrested in Airdrie in September 2016 on charges that included child luring, sexual assault, sexual interference, obtaining sexual services for consideration, invitation to sexual touching, abduction and resisting arrest. The judge recommended Lo undergo sexual offender counselling during his incarceration at Bowden Institution.
