KUALA LUMPUR: A Former AirAsia X Chief Executive Officer was injured after he was knocked down by a car while cycling along Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim (Jalan Duta) here, yesterday. Kuala Lumpur Police Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya, said the initial investigation found that the car was on the left lane when it suddenly swerved left to head towards Jalan Damansara. "While trying to change the lane, the driver did not notice that there was a bicycle rider in front of him and hit the rear of the victim's bicycle. "The victim was believed to have been flung on the vehicle, causing him to injure his head and left hand,” he said adding that the driver was not injured. He said the victim was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) for treatment and the case is being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
