The forgotten legacy of a third-generation Cromwell man whose contributions to military medicine and trauma care is on the path to restoration. A commemorative ceremony and memorial plaque unveiling was held in Cromwell's historic precinct on Friday, honouring Douglas Waddell Jolly's war surgery and humanitarian contributions. Jo McKenzie-McLean Douglas Jolly's descendants Barbara Jolly, Ro Lange (nee Jolly), Alison Ellison (nee Jolly), Brian Jolly and Anne Jolly at the Cromwell Grain and Seed Store once owned by Douglas Jolly's father William David Jolly. Derby is writing Douglas Jolly's biography with assistance from Dr Lowe.
