He said to run taxi services in Ghana, one needs an identified vehicle with a taxi sign, belong to an association and pay the necessary taxes. He added that the NDC administration gave Uber and other private transport services the permit to operate, ignoring all these laws. He stated that these private taxi services do not pay taxes to the government unlike the traditional taxi drivers and must therefore be given the needed attention. According to Charles Danso, there is no need for the recent attacks on galamsey operators when Uber drivers are still in operation in Ghana.
