The UN’s panel on climate change released reports with the most urgent language we have seen, declaring a climate emergency that must be addressed. For two years, COVID-19 changed the way we work, the way our kids learn and almost everything else about how we live our daily lives. It’s certainly not what women need. For women in particular, our society needs to move forward having learned that care work is essential work that must be valued and compensated appropriately. There is no going back to “normal” — we must go forward to better.
