Forest School opens in north AucklandMATTHEW CATTIN/FAIRFAX NZ The Forest School will use the outdoors as its classroom. Dreams of ditching the classroom to learn outside have become reality for a Hatfields Beach school, north of Auckland. Opening this term, Forest School is set to branch out from traditional schooling. Located in a forest north of Hatfields, the school will offer one day of adventurous outdoor learning a week for its pupils. Future plans for the school include purchasing iPads to assist with learning, and for Murdoch to train to become a Forest Schools Practitioner through The Forest Schools Association UK.
