Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen requested this at a meeting with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, at the State Department, on Monday morning. The minister requested the US to extradite the killer before the centenary of Bangabandhu’s birth. Bangladesh's government has repeatedly asked the US to cancel Bangabandhu’s alleged killer Rashid Chowdhury’s political asylum and extradite him. The foreign minister also said: “We have 100 economic zones in Bangladesh where many countries have made large investments. Bangladesh embassy spokesperson Shamim Ahmed said Minister Momen is scheduled to meet USAID administrator Mark Green and Senator Christopher Murphy on Tuesday.
