There have been no reports of deaths, and just one (alleged) injury related to the recall Ford announced yesterday of select 2013-16 Fusions equipped with their 2.5-litre engines. The recall affects about 270,000 vehicles in North America including 259,182 in the United States, 10,282 in Canada and 3,765 in Mexico. Recall of Ranger trucksFord also also announced a safety recall for select 2019 Ranger trucks due to two fasteners securing the transmission shift cable bracket to the transmission housing, which may not have been torqued to specification. The recall involves far fewer vehicles, however – only 2,500 vehicles in America and about 260 in Canada. A third recall affected the 2019 Ford Mustang, 2019 Lincoln Nautilus and 2019 Lincoln Navigator vehicles — approximately 4,350 total in North America — that may have shown blank instrument panels when the vehicles started.
