The girl on fire has experienced many favourable odds lately. For the second year in a row, Jennifer Lawrence is the world’s highest-paid actress, notching US$46 million (pretax) since June 2015. Forbes released their list for the world’s highest paid actresses in 2016 on August 23, where Lawrence earned US$13 million more than Melissa McCarthy, who took second place, earning US$33 million. Lawrence’s total, though down 11.5% from US$52 million she earned in 2015, is still enough to take the top spot. Together, the world’s 10 highest paid actresses combined a sum of US$205 million between June 1, 2015 and 2016.
