Credit: Eko DevicesEko Devices, a company featured in the 2014 30 Under 30 list for healthcare, today announced that it has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA to market its new heart monitor device. Eko initially launched with the Eko Core, an electronic stethoscope attachment that received 510(k) clearance in August 2015. But with its latest, the Eko Duo, the company is looking to move out of the doctor's office and into patients' homes. The easiest way to do that turned to be building off the technology already developed for the Eko Core. The new device, the Eko Duo, which looks a little like an Apple TV remote, combines stethoscope and ECG capabilities to allow doctors to track their patients' heart health remotely.
