The New York Knicks Retain Top Spot for Fourth Consecutive YearNEW YORK (February 6, 2019) – Forbes today announced its annual valuations of the National Basketball Association’s 30 teams. The New York Knicks remain in the top spot for the fourth consecutive year. The average NBA team is worth $1.9 billion, up 13% over last year, and three times the amount from five years ago. Each NBA team received more than $110 million last season from equally-shared revenue like national media, sponsorships, licensing and international streams. Four teams, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls earned more than $100 million.
