Forbes Magazine says HEB is the second best employer in Texas. The Forbes list of America’s Best Employers by State places the San Antonio grocery giant second only to NASA. Forbes also says HEB is the fifth-best large employer in the nation, as well as the 11th-best employer for women. Also making the top 50 on the list are Texas Children’s Hospital and the city of San Antonio.
