JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — On the opening day of women’s competition at the NCAA East Regional Prelims meet, two Tigers advanced to the quarterfinals while Marie Forbes punched her ticket to Nationals in the hammer throw. Action in the men’s meet will resume for Clemson on Friday at 5 p.m. with the 4×100 meter relay. The Tigers have nine remaining entries set to compete in the men’s quarterfinals on Friday including both the 4×100 and 4×400 meter relays. FULL RESULTSTHURSDAY HIGHLIGHTSMarie Forbes advanced to Nationals in the hammer throw with a mark of 64.47 meters. Lashanna Graham ran a 57.70 in the 400 meter hurdles to advance to quarterfinals.
