Forbes magazine has ranked Colorado State University as the top educational employer in the state on its list of “America’s Best Large Employers” released last week. The only other Colorado university to make the list, which was issued Feb. 13, was the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, at number 236. “It’s an honor to be recognized as the top large educational employer in Colorado,” said Vice President for Human Resources Eric Ray. Boulder Valley School District made Forbes’ “America’s Best Midsize Employers” list for organizations with 1,000 to 5,000 employees. Responses were given by current employees, employees who had worked for the organization within the past two years, and individuals familiar with the company through friends, family or peers in their industry.
