The city has received close to 300 calls from Calgarians having troubles with frozen pipes. And despite a nice run of balmy, spring-like temperatures, more than 40 homes still have frozen pipes, due to deeper than usual frost that developed during the five-week-long polar vortex that started in February. The city says it has received close to 300 calls related to frozen water services so far this year.
