Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention will reveal the secret of this centuries-old Chinese martial art by hosting an outdoor session from 9 to 10 a.m. at Lake Sumter Landing Market Square. Instructors Sandy Laing, above left, and Trish McDermott, above right, will teach the slow, rhythmic movements of Dr. Paul Lam’s version for those with arthritis. “This form is designed to make the joints align properly so there aren’t any flare-ups,” said Laing, of the Village Rio Ranchero.
