From the moment the old blackface and Klan-robed photo in Virginia Governor Ralph Northam's medical school yearbook surfaced, the game was over. I just happened to write a piece earlier this week before this whole mess exploded titled 12 Qualities Of Great Managers (and Governor Northam is a manager, make no mistake about it, highest manager in Virginia). Governor Northam may deny and prevaricate and plead confusion and bob and weave, but as Joe Louis once famously said of his opponent Billy Conn, "He can run, but he can't hide." The governor can duck and run but ultimately the ring of public opinion will be too small. There's an old quote from Dr. Albert Schweitzer, theologian, writer and philosopher, "Example is not the main thing in influencing others.
