Foothills WFC kept its perfect record after three games in 2019 with a 1-0 win over the Santa Clarita Blue Heat on Friday night at Mount Royal University’s stadium field. “Our start was exceptional,” said Foothills WFC head coach Troye Flannery. “We did what we talked about doing and what we had worked on at the training ground. “They are a ruthless team and a very good team, with some quality in attack which made things difficult.”The Blue Heat’s chances were few and seemingly from created moments, rather than sustained pressure. This is that platform and this is our opportunity.”Boychuk’s goal developed from a short corner kick and continued pressure and possession.
