And the referee is back entertaining football fans as he took a water bottle to the face during a game on Saturday. Clattenburg took on the whistle for Al-Ettifaq’s clash with Al Feiha, but was grimacing in pain in the 40th minute when a stray bottle struck him in the face. The bottle was chucked towards the departing physio and the guilty party, left-back Hussein Sayed, was eager to apologise. It is not the first time in recent months that Clattenburg has come across the radar of Premier League fans since leaving England.
