SportA hat-trick by Syafiq Ahmed spearheaded Malaysia to hand Sri Lanka a 0-6 in a Friendly International Football match played at Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Saturday (5). Malaysia led the halftime 3-0, as Malaysia opened scoring with a goal from Ahmed in the ninth minute. After breather, in the 51st minute, Sri Lanka goalkeeper spilled a cross and Malaysia’s Akhyar Rashid was there to take advantage and found a goal to score their fourth goal. The hero of the day, Ahmad, surged forward to score the fifth goal for Malaysia, and his hat-trick. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka are in Group H of the qualifications along with South Korea, DPR Korea, Lebanon and Turkmenistan.
