(Reuters) - Steve Clarke has been named as the new Scotland manager on a three-year contract that takes him through to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the Scottish FA (SFA) announced on Monday. Clarke was voted Manager of the Year in Scotland this season after guiding Kilmarnock to third place in the Scottish Premiership -- the club's highest league position since 1966. I look forward to working with them and helping them to fulfil those ambitions." Former West Bromwich Albion and Reading manager Clarke has also worked as an assistant under Ruud Gullit at Newcastle United, Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, Gianfranco Zola at West Ham United and Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool. Clarke wants his players to follow the example set by Scotland's women's team, who will be making their World Cup debut in France next month.
