As announced by Sport News Africa, Ethiopia will be playing on American soil for the first time in their history. The match against Guyana, originally scheduled for 8 July in Chester, will finally take place on 2 August at Washington DC's Segra Field Stadium, a 5,000-capacity venue. The Ethiopians will play a second match on 5 August at Riversdale's 6,600-capacity Southern Crescent Stadium against Atlanta Rovers FC, who play in the UPSL.
