It was bright and early Saturday morning at Garfield High School, and City Section coaches came out for a mandatory meeting in preparation for the 2016 season. For the latest on high school sports, follow @LATSondheimer on Twitter When I saw veteran Coaches Manuel Douglas of Narbonne and Robert Garrett of Crenshaw together, I immediately asked to take a photo. All schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District will have new uniforms paid for by the district. Garrett never wants to be in a photo but with a little nudge from Douglas, he graciously agreed.
