Chelsea have clinched a £30million deal for N'Golo Kante with Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly hoping to follow the midfielder to Stamford Bridge. Kante becomes Chelsea's second summer signing following the arrival of striker Michy Batshuayi, but Conte wants more players before the start of the new season. Kante told Leicester City that he wanted to leave the Premier League champions and Chelsea were on Friday night putting the finishing touches to his arrival. Conte and Chelsea insiders believe Kante could prove to be the club's most important signing of the summer transfer market, as he will provide much-needed energy in the middle of the park. The France international is joining Chelsea on a £150,000-a-week five-year contract and his signing is a big boost to new head coach Antonio Conte, who had made Kante one of his priority targets.
