Alemany has been forced to forfeit its 42-12 season-opening victory over Garfield because of an ineligible player. The player was lineman Massaman Ladji Bagayoko, who transferred last year from Canada. It was learned he should have been a senior last season. He played against Garfield, assistant principal Randy Thompson said. Alemany drops to 0-3 and Garfield improves to 2-1.
