Foolproof security arrangements will be ensured for the coming Thrissur Pooram fireworks. PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation) authorities have given strict instruction to the volunteers, deployed at the place of fireworks display, and Pooram committee members to wear fluorescent jackets. No volunteer will be allowed to the place of fireworks display without jacket and identity card. Meanwhile, arrangements are going on in full swing for the Thrissur Pooram, which will be celebrated on May 13. More than 75 caparisoned elephants will be paraded in various events in the 36-hour-long pooram celebrations.
