Abu Dhabi: Under the Salamt Zadkom Initiative, the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority (ADFCA) has opened registration for a course to train housewives and housemaids on the basics of food safety. Through the six-hour intensive course, the trainee will be introduced to the most important safe practices for handling food at home, promoting community awareness on food safety issues. “The course aims to ensure the highest standards of food safety in Abu Dhabi, providing safe and healthy foods, and protecting the society from food-borne diseases. “Through this initiative, ADFCA aims to help consumers avoid food contamination and damage, while handling it at home. This is achieved by enabling food handlers with the necessary skills and knowledge to maintain the safety and quality of food,” said Al Qasemi.
