A fake fingernail, an earwig, a lump of wood, even a deep-fried battery. These are just some of the nasty surprises British diners have found in their meals recently, giving rise to an increasing number of complaints. The site now logs more complaints about restaurants than it does about mobile phones or broadband. Only payment protection insurance (PPI), packaged accounts, shopping rights and flights generate more complaints.
