New Zealand is facing a perfect storm that could cause gaps in the food supply over the next six months, warns Food and Grocery Council chief executive Katherine Rich. But industrial action at ports in Australia meant that shipping companies were bypassing New Zealand altogether, Rich said. Rich recently attended a meeting with 400 members of the Food and Grocery Council in Christchurch.
