Youth and Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa is likely to appoint either an interim committee or a Competent Authority (CA) to look into the affairs of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) soon, sources said. The AG has recommended such a measure to the Sports Ministry after considering a request made by the Sports Ministry itself. Therefore, the Ministry is unlikely do go against the AG’s decision. But it could be sometimes be an interim committee. Most likely, the appointment in this regard is very much likely to be made pretty soon,” a senior SLC official told the Morning Sports.
