The flu related deaths of two children in Guelph has prompted Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health to host a live Facebook town hall to answer questions from the community. It will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. on public health's Facebook page. Medical officer of health Dr. Nicola Mercer and public health physician Dr. Matthew Tenenbaum will take part in the forum. The flu has become a top concern after two students from Westminster Woods Public School in Guelph died of the flu within a two-week period. News of the deaths saw thousands of people get a flu shot over the weekend when public health offered extended clinics.
