Florida wife who waited to call 911 is acquitted of murder

A Florida woman was found not guilty of the murder of her husband — formerly her stepfather — who lay stabbed on their living room floor for 11 hours before she called 911. After a weeklong trial, the six-person jury on Friday rejected the second-degree murder charge but found Redlick guilty of tampering with evidence; she had admitted cleaning up the blood. Danielle Redlick told investigators that she and her husband had been arguing after he found flirty text messages she had sent another man. Phone records indicate that two hours before she called 911, she used her phone to check a dating app, the police affidavit said. Redlick is to be sentenced Aug. 5 on the tampering charge.
