"The cabinet observed that even in the case of Uttarakhand, the Supreme Court had decided that the floor test was to be held under its supervision and 5 days was given. A senior official told ET: "Till now there is no communication from the government regarding the summoning of the assembly. "Even as Tuki's fate hung in the balance, it is learnt that ailing governor JP Rajkhowa's fate has been sealed. However, in this judgment the Supreme Court did not mention holding any floor test or summoning the assembly within a prescribed time," the government spokesperson said.Raj Bhavan release, meanwhile, said that the floor test was ordered at a short notice as there was apprehension that the Tuki government did not command majority. "Earlier, Tuki's Cabinet that met on Friday decided to seek 10 days to prove majority on the floor of the House.Even the Speaker said that it would not be possible to convene an assembly session at such a short notice.
