Photo: Gore District CouncilLocalised flooding has temporarily closed roads in West Otago and Southland, with Environment Southland warning that water levels will remain high for a few days. A Gore District Council social media post advised of surface flooding in the district, and two roads were closed. "Our roading team advises that River Rd, Kennedy Rd and Saleyards Rd are also affected by flooding, but are passable with care." Please exercise caution on the roads as there is some surface water throughout the district." There have been some instances of surface flooding.
