All northbound and southbound lanes on the DVP were closed from Bayview Ave. and Bloor St. to the Gardiner Expressway. Flooding caused closures on the Don Valley Parkway Monday night, Toronto police said. Police said that drivers should take an alternate route. The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority issued a flood watch warning at 8:15 p.m., attributing the excessive water to melting snow as the weather warmed after a week of sub-zero temperatures. “The recent warm temperatures and precipitation have caused widespread melting of the snowpack throughout the GTA watersheds,” the TRCA said in a statement, adding that water levels could continue to rise.
