President Xi Jinping admitted that efforts to stop flooding had become “very difficult” but there was no mention of the climate crisis. And when China suffered its worst floods in decades last year, the director of the National Climate Centre denied a link with global warming. And it will be the most vulnerable to flooding if warming continues.
