Provincial office director Jirawat Loha said on Friday that the pay-out followed a Cabinet resolution on August 8 and the money would help those affected when the Chi River overflowed during tropical storms Talas and Sonca in July. The bank has wired money to farmers at the rate of Bt3,000 per household, according to the Agriculture and Co-operatives Ministry Permanent Secretary's Office. The 139,970 farmers in Maha Sarakham had received a total Bt419.9 million in financial aid since October 25, said Jirawat.
