Flight operations resume at Lahore airport


LAHORE: The flight operations resumed at Lahore’s Allama International Airport on Sunday after being suspended for 72 hours due to escalating tensions with neighbouring country India. The domestic and international flight operations were resumed at 6am on Sunday, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said in a statement, adding that all airlines have been informed about the resumption of operations at the airport. On Saturday, the flight operations were resumed at Quetta, Karachi, Islamabad and Peshawar airports. However, CAA said that flight operations across the country resumed at 5am on Friday. “Since the existing NOTAM is effective until 2359HRS of February 28, Pakistan airspace shall remain closed.
