Flight Centre had 1200 staff and more than 130 stores at the start of the year. David Coombes, managing director of Flight Centre NZ, said the restructuring decision was incredibly difficult. To help staff who left the firm here, Flight Centre established Project Remedy to help provide supplementary income for those financially affected.
